Products/Services/Activities: The sole government institute employing around 100 staff involved in studies research and testing of all technical and economic issues related to electricity generation such as: planning, development and optimization of energy generation, power consumption and power economy; planning a dynamic electric power system according to applicable physical and economic laws, development of methods for power system control and operation analyses; power plant (hydro, thermal, nuclear) consulting activities in construction, start-up testing, commissioning, and operation; high-voltage testing techniques; applied research in physical and chemical diagnostics of high-voltage insulation materials; electromagnetic impacts of the power system on the environment as well as consultancy on environmental problems.
