Activities:

The BgYGN has organized several seminars and has assisted with the Bulgarian Nuclear Society annual conferences. Seminar topics have included Waste Management, Generation IV Nuclear Energy Systems, and Quality Management. Members of BgYGN have participated in a number of international events, including the four International Youth Nuclear Congresses held in Bratislava, Daejeon, Toronto, and Stockholm - Olkiluoto.

The BgYGN has helped to raise public awareness of the benefits of nuclear industry for the society. Site visits to Kozloduy NPP and Belene NPP have been organized. The President and the Vice-President of BgYGN have been interviewed by a national TV channel. Several meetings with the Minister of Energy and Energy Resources of the Republic of Bulgaria have been held.

The BgYGN has actively participated in the organization of a series of seminars with the world's leading companies from the nuclear energy industry interested in the construction of a nuclear power plant at the Belene site. Representatives of BgYGN have taken part in a number of public discussions, including the one concerning the Belene NPP. Thus the BgYGN has contributed to the successful start of a project which will make Bulgaria one of the few countries in Europe to build a new nuclear power plant.
