General information about the national YG network

The Bulgarian Nuclear Society Young Generation Network (BgYGN) was set up on July 26th, 1999. It is an association within the Bulgarian Nuclear Society and encompasses nuclear professionals who are below the age of 36. The number of active BgYGN members has quadrupled in recent three years and is currently more than 100. The BgYGN is headquartered in Sofia and its governing body consists of a President, a Vice-President, and persons responsible for different geographical regions. The BgYGN President is member of the Steering Committee of the Bulgarian Nuclear Society.

The BgYGN members belong to organizations from the nuclear energy sector as well as from the educational and research area: the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy, Kozloduy NPP, Belene NPP, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", the Technical University of Varna, the Medical University of Plovdiv, the Nuclear Regulatory Agency, Enpro Consult Ltd., Atomenergoproekt Ltd., the Institute of Energy, Risk Engineering Ltd., etc. The BgYGN is aimed at building links between young people from these organizations, enhancing their personal and professional development, and attracting younger people to the nuclear industry.
