Activities of the national YG network for the period given:

• 6^th St. Nichlas Meeting in Brno in December 2008 – CYG organized competition “The best graduation theses from nuclear field”, the awardees have been invited to present their theses on the annual CYG St. Nichlas’ meeting in Brno with their travel expenses reimbursed by Czech Nucelar Society

• April 2007 - 1st April meeting

  • lecture and debate about world energy issues with an old-timer of the Czech (Czechoslovak) nuclear industry - Doc. Petr Otcenášek

  • excursion to the manufacturing facilities of ŠKODA Nuclear Engineering in Pilsen (west Bohemia) – we have seen production of CASTOR containers, VVER control rod drives, internal reactor parts for Olkiluoto 3 – EPR

• April 2007, Hrotovice next to Dukovany NPP - lecture about the activities of CYG and future outlook of nuclear proffesions for the Club „World of Energy“ of the Czech Power Company CEZ
  (club consisting mainly of interested high school teachers)

• June 2007 - participation at European YGN Forum 2007 – Amsterdam
  

• September 2007, Bruxelles - participation in meetings of ENS YGN Core Committee + European Nuclear Conference 2007 – representation of Czech Nuclear Society stand
  

• December 2007 - 7th St. Nichlas’ meeting – Brno
  the highest number of participants ever – suggestions to move 8th St.Nichlas’ meeting from classroms to large audience conference rooms Czech NS Best thesis competition extended also to Bachelor theses several participants from Slovakia (as in previous years)
