activities

General information about the national YG network

The Hungarian Young Generation (FINE) was formed in 1998 with the purpose of helping young people expand their knowledge about nuclear, get their questions answered and dispel misbelief about nuclear. Members of FINE are from universities, research institutes and companies of the nuclear industry.

The main purpose of our organisation is to spread knowledge about the nuclear industry and technology, especially energertics. We also give information about the non-energetics civilian applications of nuclear techniques such as radiation protection, applications in agriculture, archaeology and medicine.

We think that the mistrust towards the nuclear industry and the fear of the word ‘nuclear’ origins in misbeliefs and lack of information. We see it as our duty to transfer information and communicate with the media and anyone who has questions about nuclear. As young people it is emphasised to get in contact with people of the same age.
