Activities of the national YG network for the period given:·

• 5^th of July 2006; Seminar for representative of Italian parliament, Rome. The YG chair gave a presentation with Title: “Evolution of the nuclear field in the world”.

• 26^th of June 2006;SOGIN center, Rome. Presentation with representative of WNA (World Nuclear Association)

• 21^st of March 2006; Enel center, Viale Regina Margherita 125, Rome. YG Participation at meeting – debate for the presentation of Aspenia 32 with the title ”An energy plan for Italy”.

• 8^th and 9^th of March 2006;Central National Library, Rome. YG Participation at conference. “Peaceful Use of the nuclear energy from 1955 until today”.

• 2^nd of March; Ministry Production Activities, Rome. YG Participation at meeting on “Perspectives for the participation of Italian firms and research centers at international nuclear programs”.

• 1^st of February 2006;Rome, Senate of the Italian Republic. YG Participation at the presentation of the official letter to the Italian Republic President on the energy policy and presentation of the book “Nuclear Paradox in Italy”.

• 11-16^th December 2005. the Italian YG chair presented some considerations on the theme “Nuclear public information issues in Italy”, during the ENC-2005 European Nuclear Conference and Exhibition; Paris - FRANCE. The Italian YG chair also participated in the YG workshop on December 11 organised by French YG with the title “European Energy Policy Workshop”.

• The Italian YG members are managing the AIN (Italian Nuclear Association) web site: www.assonucleare.it/. The web site now contains a page for the YG www.assonucleare.it/yg.html and it will contain more pages in the future. The web site is still under construction in Italian/English. The web site will be completed in the next months and it will be updated regularly.
  

1. YG members can write papers on the magazine “21° SECOLO, Scienza e tecnologia”. So far the YG chair has been writing in each issue at least a paper while other YG members are getting interested and presented some paper.

2. The Italian YG network is involved at the European Level participating to ENS-YGN Core meetings and other ENS events.

3. Members of the Italian YG network are willing to participate at IYNC-2008 and the network is diffusing constant information on the progress of IYNC-08 preparation.

4. The main activity is related to the maintenance of a mailing list and to get more people involved and enrolled in a free newsletter that spread via E-MAIL once or twice a month. In order to improve the quality of the mailing list and its content several actions and agreements have been developed and below summarized:

   • post articles on Nuclear Technology from a Senior member of AIN;

   • post articles and brief text written by YG members;

   • promote Meetings, Seminars, Conferences in Italy, Europe, Worldwide;

   • promote IYNC-2008 and abstract submission;

   • diffuse some Nuc-Net news;
