Activities of the national YG network for the period given:

In May 2006 Ignalina Youth Nuclear Association together with public organization called Visaginas Nuclear Forum organized 11thth MaxiMarathon under authority of WONUC. About 200 nuclear workers from 12 European countries gathered in Lithuania with the aim to deliver the message supporting nuclear energy from common people to the government. They overcame 150 km during 2 days and after final leg along main street of

Lithuanian capital and Drawing-room in Seim (Parliament) participants spent an unforgettable evening in the center of Vilnius.

The zest of the event was so called Amber Mile in Visaginas town when hundreds of teenagers and veterans together expressed their support to nuclear during overpassing one mile distance before meeting of marathoners and Visaginas citizens.

In the first decade of July the annual Symposium within Dysnai Youth Nuclear Festival took place on the traditional Glade at the bank of Lithuanian lake. Living in the tents and plain food makes the event cheep enough (Festival fee is 80 Euros for representatives of nuclear enterprises, 35 Euros for research organizations and students and 15 Euros for independent participants – this include Festival T-shirt and Symposium kit). Accumulated experience since 1988 allows us provide delegates with carefully made installations - electrified stage and dinning tents, sauna, hot shower, free bar. Comfortable buses took delegates to Conference Hall and excursion to Lithuanian capital. We believe that social-oriented games organized for participants during the Festival make them friends and more effective for future cooperation then only scientific discussions in formal conferences and restaurant parties. Some sport events, crystal water and fresh air add the picture.

During accounting period Association organized a number of seminars with colleagues from Russia and Ukraine, worked with pupils of secondary schools, made a film about local non-governmental organizations.
