Country Report for Romania

Activities of the national YG network for the period given:

13^th of June 2006; WEC Regional Energy Forum – FOREN 2006, Neptun, Romania. In the session “The future role of nuclear energy in Europe”, the Romanian YG Chair presented the paper named “Young Generation and Nuclear Power”
18 - 23 June 2006; IYNC 2006, Sweden and Finland. Participation of 3 representatives of Romania Young Generation and presenting of 6 papers. On of the paper was about “Young professionals perspectives in Romania”.
13 – 15 October; Romanian Young Generation Association with S.N. Nuclearelectrica support organized the ENS YGN Core Meeting and IYNC 2008 ExCom. Members of Romanian YG are involved in IYNC 2008 organisation. For the participants at this meeting was organized a visit at Cernavoda NPP.
5 – 11 June 2007; ENS – YGN Forum, Amsterdam, Holland. Participation of 3 representatives of Romanian YG.
The Romanian YG members are redesigning and managing the AREN (Romanian Nuclear Association) web site: http://www.aren.ro/. The web will be ready in July 2007 and will contain new information about Young Generation Network in Romania.
Members of Romania YG are involved in the organizing of “International Symposium on Nuclear Energy” SIEN 2007. A workshop during this Seminar is dedicated to YG.
Romanian YG members are involved in work at “Energia Nucleara” Magazine.
