Country Report for RomaniaGeneral information about the national YG networkThe Romanian YG is fully integrated in the Romanian Association for "NUCLEAR ENERGY" – (Asociatia Romana pentru Energie Nucleara - AREN) and its chairman and co-chairman are members of the AREN steering committee. Members of the Romanian YG are young professionals working in nuclear related field up to 35 years old. The network consists of about 50 registered members and all of them are also members of AREN. However, due to a combination of factors, it lost impetus and by 2000, it had become inactive. In 2003, due to the stimulus of an International Symposium on Nuclear Energy 2003, organised by AREN in Bucharest, the Romanian YGN was rejuvenated and at the beginning of 2004 become an active organisation. The elections held on 2004, established a new and more effective organization structure of the Romanian Young Generation working in nuclear field and was supported by the attention of many company’s top management on assuring and preserving well trained professionals in this field.
