Ms Domínguez graduated in physics at the Complutense University
of Madrid and has developed her professional career over the past
27 years with the Spanish engineering company Empresarios Agrupados.
Her work has been related to safety and licensing
issues for several Spanish nuclear power plants and for advanced
designs. She was appointed vice-chairman of the company's safety
department in 1994.
The Spanish Young Generation, which nominated
Ms Domínguez for the award, praised her "strong and
enthusiastic" support for their network in Spain.
The Jan Runermark award, which is presented annually,
is named after the former president-elect of ENS and the founder
of the international Young Generation Network, who died in an
accident in 1995.
