Communications
excellence centre stage!
PIME to launch first PIME Communications Award
With political events and social trends constantly evolving, the
need for stating the nuclear case forcefully and for exposing popular
misconceptions remains as great as ever. High-impact communication
campaigns, using every tool and medium available, help bridge the
knowledge gap and make the public more aware of the facts and of what's
really at stake. The signs are that the tide of public opinion is
turning in our favour. Effective communications have helped bring
about this change.
The vital role that communicators play in promoting nuclear energy
is sometimes taken for granted...but not by ENS and PIME! The inaugural
PIME Communications Award, which will be presented at PIME 2005 in
Paris, will help ensure that your communications efforts get the visibility
and credit they deserve.
Send an example of a recent communications campaign that you ran
to pime2005@euronuclear.org by
20 January 2005 at the latest.
Your entry could, for example, be an advertising campaign, a TV
spot, an interactive web-site, a DVD or CR-Rom....any innovative
campaign that really reached out to its audience. But above all,
it must have
delivered tangible results. A jury of experts will judge each entry
and the winner will be announced during the plenary session on
16 February 2005.
