Conference dates and venue

Mark your calendar now! The 17th edition of PIME will take place in Paris from 13-16 February 2005, followed by a technical tour on 17 February.

The conference venue is La Maison de la Chimie, ideally located in the heart of the city, near the National Assembly, the Musée d'Orsay and the Louvre. La Maison de la Chimie is one of the oldest conference centres in France, dating back to the 1930s when this former mansion was transformed into a conference and study centre. It is easily accessible by metro from the major railway stations and airports.

Two metro stations are only a 5 minute walk from the conference centre: Invalides (purple line, 8 and light blue line, 13) and Assemblée Nationale (green line, 12). In addition, busses 63, 69, 83 and 93 all stop within walking distance.

Paris probably needs no great introduction. The attractions of what the French call 'the City of Lights' are already well-known to many... the River Seine, the majestic architecture, the art galleries, museums and restaurants. So, as well as attending PIME, you will hopefully also have the chance to enjoy some of the many and varied delights that Paris has to offer.
