ENS Sponsorship
Through sponsorship, ENS aims at optimum coordination
of events in Europe in terms of themes and scheduling. Outside Europe,
ENS sponsors partner nuclear societies, especially for meetings which
alternate between overseas and Europe. ENS is able to provide local
and national nuclear societies, the academic world, as well as industrial
partners with a fair and transparent framework for co-operation, making
maximum use of the skills pool and scientific databases. The ENS Programme
Committee assesses the technical content of every programme for novelty,
excellence, quality and value, and explores every way in which ENS could
assist in making the event a success.
What Conference Organisers must know to gain
ENS Sponsorship for International Topical Meetings
Aims
Through sponsorship, ENS aims at optimum coordination
in Europe in terms of themes and scheduling. Outside Europe ENS gives
sponsorships as a courtesy to partner nuclear societies, especially
for meetings which alternate between overseas and Europe.
How to apply ?
Candidates must download
or ask the ENS Secretariat for
an official form which they must complete and return to the ENS Secretariat.
To register on the calendar with provisional sponsorship, send in the
form with Part 1 completed, for final sponsorship also complete Part
2 and return the entire form. After the event, they must fill in and
submit a short post-conference report using the form available for download
here.
When to apply ?
The application for provisional sponsorship should be made at the earliest
possible stage, hopefully even before the final decision on the exact
date of a conference is made. Effective coordination is only possible
as long as there are still some degrees of freedom. The information
to be provided to ENS on Part 1 of the application form is very general
and can still be preliminary.
Who decides approval ?
The ENS Program Committee (PC) in spring and autumn examines the sponsorship
applications and makes recommendations. Final approval or rejection
is by the ENS Committee twice
a year, usually in spring/summer and November.
