Relative number for the mass of an atom. The atomic
weight scale is based on the carbon atom with a nucleus made up of six
protons and six neutrons. It was allocated the atomic weight 12. Thus,
the atomic weight unit is 1/12 of the weight of carbon-12. The atomic
mass unit u is equal to 1.66053873·10-27 kg.
