Unit of activity of a radionuclide named after Henri
Becquerel who first discovered radioactivity. Symbol: Bq. The activity
is equal to 1 becquerel if 1 nucleus decays per second in the present
quantity of a radionuclide. The unit replaces the former unit curie.
