Cloud chamber

Device which makes the path of electrically charged
particles visible. It consists of a chamber filled with oversaturated
steam. If charged particles pass through the chamber they leave a cloud
track. The track makes an analysis of the movements and interactions
of the particles possible. (See also 'bubble
chamber' and 'spark chamber')
