Cooling pond

Use of artificial or natural ponds or lakes to recool the water. A power plant with an electric output of 1,300 MW needs a pond with a cooling surface of about 10km2 to be able to maintain a cooling water temperature of 21°C at humid air temperatures of 8°C (12°C dry, relative humidity 57%).
