Equilibrium, radioactive
scroll
Radioactive equilibrium denotes a condition which occurs
during a radioactive decay chain for which the half-life of the starting
nuclide is greater than the half-lives of the decay products when a
period has passed which is about ten times as long in relation to the
longest half-life of the decay products. The activity ratios of the
members of the decay chain are time-constant in this case.
