The ranking order of the largest nuclear power plant complexes in operation in the world (as of 9/2000) is headed by the location Fukushima, Japan, with ten units and an electric gross output of 9,096 MW, followed by Kashiwazaki, Japan, with seven units and 8,212 MW and Saporoschje, Ukraine, with six units and 6,000 MW.
