Nuclear power plants in Germany

In Germany (as of February 2009), 17 nuclear power plants with an electric gross output of 21,497 MW are in operation. In 2009 they generated 149 billion kWh of electricity. The equipment and energy availability amounted to 73 % and 74 %.

Nuclear power plants in operation in Germany, as of February 2010 and their power generation in 2009
19 nuclear power plants - in particular experimental, prototype and demonstration facilities built in the 60s and 70s – have been decommissioned to date, including the five units of the Nuclear Power Plant Greifswald for general safety reasons.
