In Germany (as of 7th August 2011), 9 nuclear power plants with an electric gross output of 12,696 MW are in operation. In 2010 they generated 140.6 billion kWh of electricity (including the 8 plants shut down in 2011). The equipment and energy availability amounted to 76 % and 77 %.
