TINCE’23, the Technological Innovations in Nuclear Civil Engineering Conference, will take place at École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay, from 23 to 25 October 2023.
This TINCE edition is also special as we will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the conference.
In the current context of climate change and the global energy crisis, the place of nuclear energy and its role in the future as taken a central position that has been continuously underlined by the IEA and the IPCC and that is clearly of a highest importance nowadays. Currently there are more than 50 nuclear constructions ongoing in the world and more than 35 projects that are considered as firm.
For those new projects, the need for better modeling and better construction techniques has never been so high especially when considering the growing threat of extreme climatic actions and the more and more increasing preoccupation of protection against malevolent acts.
The need also to confirm that the existing fleet will still be assessed against more and more threatening hazards has become prominent. The place of digital twin will be in the core of this edition especially in the new build context but also for the long term operation.
