Session 2 (11:00 – 12:30 or 16:30 – 18:00)

How to provide necessary Education & Training to perform cross-border works / customized “Nuclear Passport”

Within NUGENIA, Technical Area 7 is dedicated for “Harmonization”. This is a gross-cutting topic aiming at setting and sharing best practices, codes and standards. It is aimed at reducing any substantial difference within a group of countries in nuclear safety requirements and objectives, fabrication, verification and operation of systems and components, safety assessment procedures and practices, as well.  NUGENIA is planning to give brief information regarding these aims.

This session is going to consider the possibility for setting up a customized “Nuclear Passport” in a specific technical field of expertise (e.g. testing, welding, controlling, …. ) to make exchange/assignment/appointment of work forces easier between NUGENIA member organisations within Europe or even on an  international scale.  This session will therefore be organised as follows depending on the confirmation of Nugenia’s invitation:

  • Introduction: NUGENIA Secretariat

  • Title: /Hans Henriksson (Vattenfall/Nugenia ExComm Member) :

  • Title: /Monica Sbaffoni (IAEA):

  • Title: /Concetta Fazio (JRC):

  • Title: /M. Flore (JRC, representing EHRO-N):

  • Title: /J. Roberts (University of Manchester):

Besides these, NUGENIA may invite the following poster topics to its session if NESTet PC agrees to that:

  • NESTet2016-A0063: European Master in Nuclear energy (EMINE). When Academy and industry meet

and

  • NESTet2016-A0071: A whole new way of doing introductory nuclear power training using Training Simulators
