IAEA Opens Applications For The 2025 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) officially launched the new Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP).
Women interested in studying nuclear-related subjects at the master’s degree level are encouraged to apply by 31 October 2025.
Launched in 2020 by IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi, the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) has since received over 3000 applications from women passionate about pursuing careers in the nuclear field.
The programme is named after the pioneering physicist and two-time Nobel laureate Marie Sklodowska-Curie, and offers support to women from all IAEA member countries, addressing the growing need for a more inclusive nuclear workforce.
To date, the MSCFP has supported 760 women from 129 countries studying a diverse range of nuclear topics in 76 countries around the world.
For more information on how to apply, please visit the IAEA webpage.
The MSCFP aims to help increase the number of women in the nuclear field, supporting an inclusive workforce of both men and women who contribute to and drive global scientific and technological innovation.
Named after pioneer physicist and twice Nobel Prize laureate Marie Sklodowska-Curie, the Programme aims to inspire and encourage young women to pursue a career in the nuclear field.
Selected students receive a scholarship for Master’s programmes in nuclear-related studies at accredited universities, as well as internship opportunities facilitated by the IAEA.
