Nuclear Society of Slovenia Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary

This month the Nuclear Society of Slovenia, one of the 21 ENS Member Societies, celebrates the 30th anniversary of its foundation.

Since December 1991, the Society gathers nuclear professionals, researchers, and professors from all over Slovenia, contributing to supporting the country’s nuclear sector, its projects, and the public awareness of nuclear energy as a current and future reliable, low-carbon energy source.

Moreover, the Nuclear Society of Slovenia actively organises globally well-known conferences, fruitfully developing wide, international cooperation networks with many nuclear organizations.

30 years of experience give us the awareness that we can pursue ambitious goals for the future. We want to maintain a high level of professionalism, independence, and knowledge, essential to the development of a low-carbon and reliable energy supply for a decarbonised, environment-friendly society

said the current President Tomaž Žagar in his celebrating speech.
