IAEA Scientific Forum on Rays of Hope: Delivering on the Promise of Cancer Care will take place from 15-16 September 2026 at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) in Board Room D, C building, 4th floor.
The Forum is being held in conjunction with the General Conference.
Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, accounting for approximately 10 million deaths in 2022. Without urgent action, the global cancer burden is expected to increase significantly in the coming decades, disproportionately affecting low and middle income countries where access to diagnosis, treatment and specialized care remains limited.
While many forms of cancer are preventable, detectable at an early stage and treatable, millions of patients continue to face barriers to accessing life-saving services.
