ENS Supports the Youth Vision: A Call for Action from the Next Generation of Nuclear Professionals
The European Nuclear Society (ENS) proudly endorses the Youth Vision presented by the young generation in nuclear at FISA–EURADWASTE & SNETP Forum in Warsaw.
The Youth Vision Statement Nuclear by 2050: A Vision for Action is an inspiring statement which reflects the voice of emerging nuclear professionals who are committed to driving innovation, promoting sustainability, and shaping a decarbonised future with nuclear at its core.
Their message is clear:
A successful clean energy transition will depend on inclusive policies, strong research, public engagement, and strategic investment — and young professionals are ready to lead the way.
ENS has always placed the highest importance on encouraging young talent and fostering the next generation of nuclear experts. Through our Young Generation Network and support for numerous E&T initiatives across Europe, we remain dedicated to promoting opportunities, enhancing visibility, and encouraging active participation in the nuclear sector.
ENS welcomes the priorities outlined in the Vision, including the call for greater cooperation, modern education, digitalisation, innovation, long-term operation of existing nuclear plants, and a transparent, science-based discussion on nuclear waste.
As Europe’s leading voice in nuclear science and technology, ENS is proud to stand alongside this new generation and will continue working to ensure their voice is heard, their contributions recognised, and their potential fully realised.
