The Nuclear Institute Stregthens Professional Collaboration with Canada
On 8 September, the Nuclear Institute (ENS Member Society) and the Canadian Nuclear Society signed an agreement to enhance professional collaboration and to develop a reciprocal membership.
Announced during the UK-Canada Day, the partnership aims to support the exchange of knowledge and skills and strengthen professional relationships among their members, who may now join the other at no additional cost and access multiple benefits.
Robert Gofton, CEO of the Nuclear Institute, said:
“For our members, this provides access to enhanced benefits and opportunities to build lasting professional relationships, while supporting the highest standards of professionalism across the international nuclear community.”

The Nuclear Institute and the Canadian Nuclear Society share the goal of ensuring the safe and effective use of nuclear science and technology, as well as the commitment to international professionalism within the nuclear sector.
In this regard, the Nuclear Institute recently developed the Nuclear Professionalism Standard®.
It sets out the knowledge, skills and behaviours essential for everyone working in nuclear, setting down a baseline standard for the many and diverse professionals who play a part in the development, operation, management and advancement of our nuclear future.
