The Serbian Nuclear Society Is A New ENS Member Society

Following the approval of the General Assembly, ENS is glad to welcome the Serbian Nuclear Society, which became a new Member Society of the European Nuclear Society, effective starting from 1st January 2024.

The Serbian Nuclear Society (SND – Srpsko Nuklearno Društvo) President, Prof. Koviljka Stanković, attended the latest ENS General Assembly in Brussels and presented the organization, its work and activities, but also an interesting overview of nuclear science and research institutes in Serbia.

The Serbian Nuclear Society President, Prof. Koviljka Stanković (seated in the front row on the left) together with the ENS team and members at the General Assembly, Brussels, 14 December 2023.

The SND was established this year, by the initiative and enthusiasm of young nuclear experts aiming to introduce the public to the advantages for society and the environment of various peaceful applications of nuclear energy in industry, medicine, ecology, agriculture and all other segments of everyday life.

The Serbian Nuclear Society has also a very active Young Generation Network, which organises webinars and lectures, especially for young people, and is more and more present in several international conferences and events.

The vision and the mission of the Serbian Nuclear Society perfectly match those of ENS and its Member Societies, which unanimously welcomed the SND into our network.

We look forward to fruitful and active cooperation!

Welcome to ENS!
